We also offer some “above and beyond” services that we thought you’d like to hear about:

As an adjunct to skilled therapy, restorative nursing offers services promote independence via programs such as movement, range of motion exercises, and restorative dining. In addition, our therapists provide input to our Activity team to suggest activities that might help residents improve their functioning without even realizing that they’re in “treatment.” In this way, rehabilitation doesn’t stop when a resident leaves the therapy room—they can continue to improve as they enjoy lots of fun and interesting activities throughout their stay.

Physical, occupational, and speech therapists develop customized treatment goals that help each resident maximize his or her potential. Most of the residents that are admitted via Medicare to our facility are able to return home or back to their assisted living facilities after treatment and rehabilitation.

Our ample therapy rooms provide plenty of space for residents’ care and rehabilitation. Separate treatment rooms are provided for each type of therapy, allowing a variety of sessions to be scheduled at the same time. Specialized materials, tools, activities, and plans are utilized to help residents regain skills and independence.

Residents with Alzheimer’s Disease or related dementia need a little extra help navigating the routines of daily life. Predictability, structure, and familiar faces help ease their confusion and anxiety, making their days easier and more enjoyable. Our Structured Day Program provides a consistent daily schedule of activities in a cozy, more intimate space with staff who have training in meeting the needs of this special population. This approach helps residents with dementia maintain their current level of functioning longer and enjoy their days.

You can smell the wonderful aromas even before you reach our café…delicious soups, fried chicken, bacon, fresh fruit, pies and cakes…before you know it, everyone in the building is hungry. Every meal features a variety of foods that are prepared by a group of terrific cooks in our kitchen. Residents choose exactly what and how much of each item they’d like from our buffet. Many times, people who’ve lost interest in eating suddenly find themselves presented with all sorts of goodies that they can’t possibly pass up, and that’s the idea.

When people are rehabilitating from an injury or an illness, they need to eat a variety of nutritious foods. Our philosophy is that there is no reason those foods have to be boring and bland (like typical hospital food). We understand that dinners should be interesting, with tasty dishes to sample, a nice atmosphere, and people to wait on you hand and foot. If only home could be like this!

If someone missed dinner or is just in the mood for a midnight snack, our after-hours room service will bring you just what you want. From soups and sandwiches to cookies and ice cream, we will make sure you can always find something good to eat no matter what time of day it is.
